Lamb Weston / Meijer, the European joint venture of Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc., announced June 15th that it has completed its acquisition of the potato division of Oerlemans Foods.

The acquisition includes a frozen potato processing facility in Broekhuizenvorst, Netherlands, and will add approximately 85,000 tons of production capacity to Lamb Weston / Meijer's existing network.

With this acquisition Lamb Weston / Meijer reinforces its leading position in the international market for frozen potato products and responds to both the increasing demand for frozen potato products as well as the growth ambitions of its customers.

The sale allows Oerlemans Foods to further position itself as a specialist in frozen fresh fruits and vegetables.

Lamb Weston /Meijer and Oerlemans Foods announced on April 26, 2017 that they had reached agreement on the acquisition.
