Today, HyFun Foods is a proud contributor to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and exports to more than 40 countries.

The Hyfun Story:

The genesis of success goes back to 1962, when Mr. Asandas J. Karamchandani embarked on the journey of trading Potatoes at Mehsana in Gujarat, laying the foundation of Asandas and Sons. Later, the second generation also joined the family business, and over the years, the firm has been able to build a strong reputation in the potato sector.

In 1999, Mr. Haresh J. Karamchandani, the eldest in the 3rd generation, started his entrepreneurial journey in the family business. After being immersed in the world of agri- business for more than a decade, by 2010, he sensed an opportunity in Potato Processing, which also happened to be a forward integration of his traditional business. He saw the opportunity for North Gujarat to emerge as a leader in the cultivation of processing varieties of potatoes and the preferred choice for French Fries varieties.

Having the seed pipeline in place for these special potato varieties takes 5 years, and by 2015, HyFun Foods started manufacturing frozen potato products. He the Managing Director & CEO of HyFun Foods.

It was also in 2015 that Mr. Kamlesh K. Karamchandani joined his elder brother as part of HyFun Foods after spending 5 years in the traditional family business and took charge as the Executive Director. He has been instrumental in opening the doors of opportunity for exports of frozen potato products from India.

Together they have taken Hyfun to the forefront of exports and are enabling the country to emerge as a manufacturing hub for the entire Asia.
