The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Homeland (BMLEH) is Germany's federal ministry in charge of agricultural policy, food and nutrition, animal welfare, rural development, and regional identity. The ministry, which is based in Bonn and Berlin, strives to assure citizens' safe and nutritious meals, support sustainable agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, and promote global food security.

It coordinates research and consumer education programmes, executes national food waste reduction and healthy eating plans, and represents Germany in agricultural and food policy at the EU and worldwide levels.
