Chips dryer is a device used in the production of potato chips to remove moisture, achieve ideal moisture content, and ensure the taste and shelf life of potato chips. Sensitar Chips Dryer adopts an upward blowing and downward pulling method, which thoroughly removes moisture and achieves the drying purpose.
It is the core dehydration and quality improvement equipment in industrial potato chips production. Its function is to accurately remove residual free water and some bound water after blanching and slicing, controlling the moisture content of finished chips within 3%–5%, ensuring crisp taste while inhibiting microbial growth and extending shelf life.
Working Principle
Sensitar Chips Dryer uses a bidirectional hot air circulation mode of blowing up and pulling down. Upper air duct outputs constant temperature hot air, penetrating the potato chip layer on the conveyor and quickly removing surface moisture. Simultaneously, the lower air duct exhausts vaporized water and humid hot air, forming a closed-loop process of “hot air penetration, water vapor rapid exhaust”. This prevents uneven drying and residual moisture inside the chips. Air speed and temperature of both ducts can be adjusted according to chip thickness and variety, ensuring consistent dryness for each potato chip.
Key Advantages
- Thoroughly removes residual water for ideal moisture content
- Ensures crispy texture and extends shelf life
- Bidirectional hot air circulation for uniform drying
- Avoids uneven local drying and residual internal moisture
- Adjustable wind speed and temperature to suit chip thickness and variety
- Provides consistent dryness for subsequent frying, seasoning, and other processes
