Banco de Alimentos Balcarce (BDA)

Banco de Alimentos Balcarce (BDA) is a non-profit organization based in Balcarce, Buenos Aires, Argentina, dedicated to reducing hunger, improving nutrition, and preventing food waste. Founded in 2016, the organization works as a bridge between food donors and vulnerable communities by recovering food that is still suitable for consumption and redistributing it through social organizations. 

The organization collaborates with companies, producers, institutions, volunteers, and community members to collect, classify, and distribute food products to people facing food insecurity. As part of the Red Argentina de Bancos de Alimentos, Banco de Alimentos Balcarce operates within a wider network focused on promoting food access, solidarity, and sustainable management of resources. 

Beyond food recovery and distribution, Banco de Alimentos Balcarce promotes community engagement through donation campaigns, volunteer programs, and technical events that connect the agricultural and food sectors. Its initiatives, including the 'Jornada Técnica La Papa, de Argentina al Mundo', support collaboration among producers, professionals, companies, and organizations while contributing to the sustainability of its social mission.
