The Metro Group has upped the ante in Europe's move toward using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, completing the roll out of its use to 180 additional stores and warehouses in Germany.
RFID technology is helping to transform logistics by providing a means of tracking and tracing individual products throughout the supply chain.
The world's fourth largest retailer labelled the move as the largest RFID project in the European retail sector.
