US foodies find flavours of foreign chips hard to swallow

Chocolate dog food. Old garden hose. Weirdly fishy. Take a panel of seven foodies and ply them with exotic versions of popular American snacks from around the world, and these are the reactions you get.
Tentative nibbles and scrunched noses. The taste testers gathered recently at the headquarters of The Associated Press in New York and represented varying levels of culinary pedigree.

Recently Frito-Lay started a campaign in the US to show consumers where their bag of Lays Chips was manufactured and even where the potatoes for that specific bag were grown: the Chips Tracker. In the ads, Frito-Lay features potato farmers growing their chips potatoes in California, New England, Texas, Michigan and Florida.
