The Cecilia variety is an edible tuber that is extracted from the American herbaceous plant Solanum tuberosum, of Andean origin. It is a plant belonging to the Solanaceae family native to South America and cultivated all over the world for its edible tubers. It is a potato for fresh consumption (soups, tortillas and mash) and for processing in the form of flakes. The tubers are medium-sized, elliptical in shape. The skin is light yellow, with shallow eyes. The flesh is yellow.
