The GRIMME EVO 290 is a high-performance two-row trailed potato harvester, representing the evolution of the proven SE principle. This principle integrates soil sieving, crop conveying, and haulm separation into a single, efficient process.
Designed for maximum productivity and efficiency, the EVO 290 features a large 9-tonne bunker, enabling high field output and reducing the need for frequent unloading. For continuous harvesting, a patented 5.5-tonne unloading bunker (NonstopBunker) allows operation without interruption, increasing digging capacity by up to 20–30%.
The innovative TriSys tricycle chassis improves load distribution, increasing the soil contact area by up to 65%, reducing soil compaction, and ensuring excellent stability during unloading. All three wheels can be hydraulically driven and steered for maximum traction and manoeuvrability.
The machine is equipped with advanced features such as VarioDrive for infinitely variable main web speed control, independent of PTO speed, and reversible operation to clear blockages. Optional assistance systems like Speedtronic automate web and separator speeds, reducing operator workload and improving crop protection.
