The GRIMME WR 200 is a trailed windrower designed for harvesting potatoes and other root crops under varying field conditions and levels of mechanisation. It incorporates the proven digging units from the 2-row harvesting technology of the GRIMME SE Series, ensuring reliable performance and efficient crop handling.
Thanks to its simple operation and low power requirement of just 47 hp, the WR 200 is an ideal entry-level machine for farmers transitioning to mechanised harvesting. Its modular design allows flexibility across different harvesting setups.
Depending on the configuration, the crop can be deposited either centrally or laterally behind the machine. In the centre-deposit version, potatoes can be collected manually or picked up later after drying in a two-phase harvesting process using a windrow intake system.
The machine reduces the amount of soil adhering to the crop, improving suitability for long-term storage and enhancing the performance of subsequent harvesting operations.
When equipped with a crop cross conveyor, the WR 200 supports an enhanced harvesting process. In this system, crops from two rows are deposited laterally between adjacent rows and later harvested together. This method not only protects the crop and improves soil separation but also significantly increases the efficiency and output of the following potato harvester.
