Vegniek Selectron

The brand new electric Selectron roguing cart from Vegniek. The goal of Vegniek with the new Selectron: Making visual inspection of seed potato fields possible by using an electric vehicle without concessions!

The fully electrically powered Selectron roguing cart is equipped with a powerful lithium-ion battery pack. This battery pack can be easily charged by means of the charger, but is also charged during the day by the solar panel sunroofs.

In this way, the battery capacity is between 10-16 hours, so that the machine is able to drive a full working day in any desired situation. The Selectron is powered by two powerful electric wheel motors.

The big advantage of the electric wheel motors is that the efficiency is very high. The 100% electronic differential lock is actively controlled by the steering angle and ensures that the machine does not come to a standstill if one of the wheels loses grip.

In order to transmit the torque properly, we decided to equip the Selectron with large (8.3R24) wheels, with the additional advantage that the machine is very stable and easily drives over ditches.

With the Selectron, seed potato growers can take the first step in making their machinery more sustainable. The footprint of the cultivation can be reduced in this way and the quality of the work increases due to the quiet and comfortable working environment.

Developing the electric Selectron not only gave us (Vegniek) a beautiful new machine, but it also opens new doors for the future. By developing the Selectron, they have acquired a great deal of in-house knowledge of electric drives.

They want to apply the obtained technology and knowledge in new machines. They hope that this will enable us to meet our customers' demand for electrically powered machines. You can contact Vegniek for challenges or applications in the field of electric drives!
