News on Potatoes in Retail from Manitoba

Sobeys has named Peak of the Market its 2024 Best Local Produce Supply Partner in Manitoba. Store managers recognized Peak for its quality, reliability, and strong relationship with Sobeys, highlighting their shared commitment to delivering fresh local produce.

Last month, Kroeker Farms celebrated the new location of The Potato Store at 715 Circle K Drive, Winkler Manitoba, with an official ribbion cutting. According to Liana Fehr, Executive Assistant at Kroeker's, the new location gives them four times the space compared to the former location on Circle K Drive.

Registration is now open for restaurants hoping to be crowned champion during the 3rd annual Potahto Week presented by Peak of the Market. The 10-day event challenges restaurants to put forward a signature dish made with Manitoba grown potatoes.

Manitoba's first case of late blight for the year was found in a western Manitoba field over the weekend.
