ASAJA León

ASAJA de León is an agricultural professional association that represents farmers and livestock producers in the province of León, Spain. As a member of ASAJA Castilla y León and ASAJA Nacional, the organization offers agricultural advocacy, farm consulting services, training, and administrative assistance to farmers in a variety of crop and animal industries. Its services benefit potato farmers and other arable producers by providing support with agricultural aid, farm management, insurance, regulatory processes, technical issues, and agricultural training.

The organization originated from agricultural groups founded in León in 1985, and it was formed via the merger of UFADE de León and the Centro Provincial de Jóvenes Agricultores de León. ASAJA de León has offices in several agricultural districts in the province, including La Bañeza, Santa María del Páramo, Sahagún, Carrizo de la Ribera, Valencia de Don Juan, Ponferrada, and Villablino. Its efforts focus on the province's agricultural and animal producing industries.

ASAJA de León provides non-formal agricultural training in areas like as farm establishment and management, phytosanitary product handling, animal welfare, agricultural technologies, risky commodities transportation, and farm management. It also disseminates sector information via publications, circulars, meetings, and internet platforms. The organization is involved in agricultural bodies and rural development operations in León, including the Provincial Agricultural Chamber, the León Agricultural Market (Lonja Agropecuaria de León), agricultural development organizations, and municipal agricultural boards.
