Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, MARA, China

The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (ATPC), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), China, is a government-affiliated agricultural trade organization supporting international and domestic agricultural trade, market information and trade promotion activities.

Its activities include agricultural trade policy research, agricultural trade information services, trade negotiations, agricultural industry monitoring, and the organising of local and foreign exhibits and trade promotion events. The center serves as a platform for agricultural firms and organisations in the potato and food industries to acquire trade information, participate in fairs, and engage in international agricultural trade operations.

The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, established in 2003, is a publicly funded entity directly associated with China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It also acts as the agriculture industry branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the agricultural industry chamber of the China Chamber of International Commerce. Its tasks include providing technical assistance for agricultural trade talks, conducting agricultural trade policy research, monitoring agricultural industry security, and organising trade promotion operations in China and elsewhere.

The center organises and participates in agricultural trade exhibits and promotional events that aim to bring together agricultural producers, entrepreneurs, buyers, and worldwide markets. Instead than focusing just on potatoes, it conducts business in a variety of agricultural and food industries.
