DECCO is a Spain-based postharvest solutions company that develops products, equipment and technical services for protecting harvested crops, including potato storage management programmes that control sprouting and preserve tuber quality. Working with growers, packers and storage operators, the company supplies plant growth regulators, application and dosing equipment, and monitoring services that help reduce weight loss and quality deterioration during storage and transport. Its specialists also advise on storage protocols, residue analysis and the correct application of plant protection products.
The business operates as the postharvest division of the UPL group of companies and draws on more than 90 years of postharvest expertise, with activity in around 40 countries and seven manufacturing sites. Growth has come partly through acquisition, including IngeAgro S.A. in Chile and its Fullcover ultra-low volume electrostatic application technology, and TeleSense, a provider of remote monitoring solutions for crop storage and transportation. A new plant was added in Valencia, Spain, in 2025. DECCO holds 39 granted patents and 59 pending applications and employs more than 200 people in key production areas.
