ICAR-Central Potato Research Station, Jalandhar (Punjab) is one of the seven regional research stations of the ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh).

Established in 1957, the station is located 6 km from Jalandahr bus stand, on Nakodar Road in Village Badshahpur at 31º 16’ N and 75º 32’ E at an elevation of 237 meter above mean sea level. Potato crop season in the north-western plains is characterized by long and severe winters, short days and occasionally frosty weather during December-January.

During the 2010-11 potato crop season, the weather was favorable for potato production and quite high potato yield was recorded at the station and in the region. Late blight did not appear in the autumn crop season. Meteorological data recorded at this station during 2010-11 is summarized in Annexure-I.

The station is actively involved in quality potato seed production which is supplied to the other Government Agencies and potato growers of Punjab and other states.
