In China, McCain Foods is the industry leader in the production of French fries.

McCain established a state of the art french fry production plant in China in 2004. The plant is located in Harbin, Heilongjiang.

McCain first entered China in 1994 starting with potato trials in order to identify the best potato varieties for potato processing in China.

In 1997 the company opened sales offices in Shanghai, initially selling french fries imported from Canada, US, Australia and New Zealand.

McCain established a state of the art french fry production plant in China in 2004. The plant is located in Harbin, Heilongjiang and operates as McCain Foods (Harbin) Co.
