Norsk Landbruksrådgiving (NLR), the Norwegian Agricultural Extension Service, is an organization providing advice to Norwegian farmers. The organisation operates 10 regional extension units across Norway. Each unit is an individual organization that cooperates through the headoffice located in Ås.

The NLR provides advice to most of the challenge’s Norwegian farmers face. NLR is the link between research and agriculture, and collects, develops and coordinates agricultural knowledge to their 24 000 members.

Local tests are important for developing and testing knowledge. Annually the NLR performs nearly 600-800 field trials at the member’s farms.

Extension are mainly in agronomy, agricultural buildings, mechanical engineering, hydro engineering, greenhouses, HSE, business development, finance, climate and environment.
