Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (WKO), often known as the Austrian Economic Chamber, is Austria's statutory body that represents the interests of businesses and entrepreneurs. It offers corporate intelligence, consulting and support services, education and training, international trade aid, and industry representation. WKO's sectoral organizations represent a wide range of Austrian industries, including agricultural, food manufacture, food trade, machinery, and other sectors essential to the potato and food-processing industries.
The Austrian Economic Chamber is the federal component of the Wirtschaftskammerorganisation, which includes WKO and nine regional economic chambers representing each Austrian federal province. The organization is divided into seven major sectors: crafts and trades, industry and commerce, banking and insurance, transportation and logistics, tourism and leisure, and information and consulting. These categories are further organized into specialist trade associations and regional trade groups that represent certain industry and professions.
WKO's specialist organizations provide industry representation and services to food manufacturers, traders, and other enterprises along the food supply chain. The Food and Beverage Industry Specialist Representation (Fachverband der Nahrungs- und Genussmittelindustrie) represents Austria's food industry and offers sector-specific information, consultancy, and services in economics, law, nutrition, and public relations.

Austrian Economic Chamber
The organization is headquartered in Vienna and represents Austrian businesses through its federal and regional chamber structure. For PotatoPro, WKO is relevant primarily as an industry and business organization supporting companies across Austria’s agricultural, food, manufacturing and trade sectors, rather than as a potato producer, processor or equipment manufacturer.
