UK and Ireland growers and packers can now count on the support of a new local approved service agent for Wyma equipment.
The leader in post-harvest vegetable handling solutions aims to be as close as possible to its customer base in order to respond to equipment, service and spare parts needs quickly and accurately. For this reason, PJH Mechanical Engineering has been appointed to carry out commissioning, installation, servicing and training requirements for Wyma’s increasing customer base in the region.
PJH is based in Thurston and specialises in technical services for vegetable harvesting and handling equipment. Company Director Paul Hutley has many years of experience in this field and has regularly worked on Wyma’s equipment in his former position. “Having previously worked with Wyma, I am confident that we are able to offer the same levels of quality and commitment expected from such a first class company. We are excited to be working with the Wyma team to support UK and Ireland growers and packers”.
This service agreement follows the appointment of Ernie Panks as direct Wyma UK and Ireland representative earlier this year. From an engineering background, Ernie has an intrinsic knowledge of vegetable handling equipment and a strong technical expertise. Since he joined the Wyma team in March, he has travelled extensively to meet his customers and to offer advice on pack-house technology. He has also worked closely with the Wyma European office to coordinate spare parts requirements across the region.
These two recent Wyma appointments doubtlessly provide increased customer service and after-sales support for the vegetable industry in the UK and Ireland.
