Agropack Solutions Showcases Groundbreaking Post-Harvest Technology at GRAY Farms, Scotland

As GRAY Farms hosted a showcase of cutting-edge post-harvest technology, potato farmers and agricultural innovators gathered in Portsoy, Scotland. Organised by Agropack Solutions Ltd, a leader in agricultural solutions and Scottish distributor for brands such as Wevano, Manter, Solidtec, and Vegniek, the event offered live demonstrations of advanced grading and packing equipment designed to revolutionise farming operations.

Agropack Solutions' state-of-the-art Grading & Packing line was at the centre of the showcase. Designed in partnership with innovators like Wevano and Meconaf, the system aims to redefine efficiency and quality in post-harvest processes for potato farmers. 

One of the standout displays was the U-Vision optical potato grader. Using advanced multi-camera technology, the grader precisely evaluates potatoes based on size and quality, eliminating defects and delivering fully graded products in a single pass. With its gentle handling and precision, the U-Vision represents a leap forward in accuracy and efficiency, minimising crop damage while saving time and resources.

Another highlight was Agropack Solutions’ rugged box tippler, an in-house design tailored to meet the demands of modern potato farming. The tippler can automatically switch between one and two-tonne boxes, ensuring a steady, gentle flow for processing. Its robust build reduces labour requirements, optimises efficiency, and keeps crops intact during sorting and unloading. 

Scotts UK also took the stage, showcasing their Evolution separators. Built for root crops and the vegetable market, these machines stand out for their reliability and versatility in post-harvest operations. 

Beyond the machinery, the event fostered meaningful connections between farmers and innovators. Attendees exchanged ideas and explored sustainable solutions tailored to the challenges faced by local growers. Agropack Solutions emphasised their vision of delivering premium, cost-effective post-harvest technology to the Scottish farming community.
