Global demand and innovation drive Optimum Sorting’s revenue to EUR 40 million (+38%) in 2025

Optimum Sorting, a specialist in optical sorting technology with offices in Belgium, the Netherlands and the United States, reported revenue of EUR 40 million (USD 46 million) in 2025, representing growth of 38% compared with the previous year.
The result strengthens the company’s position as an international player and provides a solid foundation for further expansion plans in 2026. Optimum Sorting ended 2025 with operations in 50 countries and a customer base of around 350 companies, mainly within the food industry.
Recent installations have focused on advanced optical sorting solutions for potato products such as chips and fries, as well as vegetables including onions, green beans and carrots.

Innovation expands market reach
In 2025, Optimum Sorting expanded into new industries by leveraging its patented UV LIF technology. The company entered the mining sector with solutions capable of detecting and sorting spodumene, a key raw material for lithium production, using sustainable processes.
Within the food industry, demand continued to grow for the Magnus sorter, developed specifically for handling delicate fruits, with installations increasing across multiple regions worldwide.

People and infrastructure support growth
To support rising demand, Optimum Sorting’s Dutch operations will relocate to a larger and more modern facility in Veldhoven in summer 2026. In the United States, a test and demonstration center will move from Turlock to Sacramento, strengthening the company’s presence in California’s nut and vegetable sectors.
The company also expanded its workforce from 91 to 118 employees in 2025. Further recruitment is planned in Belgium, the Netherlands, Thailand and the United States, focusing on engineering, service and logistics roles.
