Fire damage to a Grand Forks potato plant is estimated at about $25,000.
The fire early Thursday morning was contained in the dust collection system at the North American Foods plant, but the facility was shut down for the day. The plant makes dehydrated potato flakes, which are used for making instant mashed potatoes.
