De Nederlandse Aardappel Organisatie (NAO) blikt terug op een redelijk goed afzetseizoen voor de tafelaardappel, maar verwacht een matige afzet voor 2008/2009.
Dat laat voorzitter Kees van Arendonk van de NAO weten aan Vakblad Agf. “De aardappel stond in 2008 positief in de belangstelling, kende een redelijke markt voor de industrieaardappelen, een redelijk goede markt voor tafelaardappelen en een zeer goede markt voor pootaardappelen.”
Met de nieuwe oogst begon vanaf september het nieuwe seizoen en dat valt tot nu toe wat tegen, laat Van Arendonk weten. “Dat wordt vooral veroorzaakt door een slecht lopende export en hier en daar beperkingen als gevolg van de kredietcrisis.”
