Breaking the stranglehold of DS Smith and Smurfit Kappa, who accounted for all of the finalists last year in this hotly contested category, Inspirepac just pipped DS Smith's Louth site to this year's top prize, thanks to an entry hailed by judges for its construction and print quality.
The design by Chesterfield-based Inspirepac replaces a standard 0201 box to improve performance, palletisation, appearance and functionality.
One judge said the pack showed "how a well-thought-through design can deliver efficiency throughout the supply chain".
