Marleen de Rond-Schouten new Managing Director Agro & Strategy of Avebe

On 1 January 2023, Marleen de Rond-Schouten will take over Arjan de Rooij’s tasks as Managing Director Agro & Strategy. Mr De Rooij will leave Royal Avebe after more than 14 years.
Arjan de Rooij:
Prior to her move to Avebe, she held a range of international commercial and strategic management posts with ForFarmers and FrieslandCampina.
After completing her Master’s in Agrarian Economics at Wageningen University & Research and the University of Bonn (Germany), she obtained a doctorate in Agrarian System Modelling at Wageningen University & Research.
Alongside her job, Marleen is an agricultural entrepreneur and runs a pig farm in Wijdenes together with her husband and her two sons.

Arjan de Rooij:
"I work for Avebe with pleasure and dedication and with my team I have detailed the development of the cooperative and the raw-materials provisions for Avebe since 2008."Ms De Rond-Schouten (1983) has been Strategy Director at Avebe since 1 May 2022. In that role, she works on the strategy development for 2023-2028 and strategic project portfolio management.
"For the remainder of my working life, I will focus on developing my family business and a few other things. The time is right."
