Flikweert Vision launches Divider Select optical sorter optimized for potato and onion growers at Fruit Logistica

Flikweert Vision, globally active and a leading specialist in optical sorting for potatoes and onions, introduces the Divider Select during Fruit Logistica. This new version has been developed to give growers greater control over the product flow during inloading and outloading, and to improve product quality in storage.

Manual sorting during harvest and storage is a challenge for many growers. Labour availability is under pressure, especially at moments when speed and care are essential. As a result, product with too much tare or defects enters storage, negatively affecting quality, consistency and storage capacity.

Flikweert Vision develops optical sorting machines that are fully specialised for potatoes and onions. Worldwide, more than 500 machines are currently in operation across 22 countries. With solutions such as the Divider, the company delivers robust, product-friendly technology that operates reliably day in, day out at the start of sorting lines.

Industrial foundation adapted for growers

The Divider was originally developed as a high-end solution for industrial applications and is well known there for its reliability and continuity. This version, now positioned as the Divider Pro, is industrially built and equipped with AI-supported detection to remove clods, stones and extreme product defects from the product flow at an early stage. By doing so, the machine prevents damage and disruptions further down the process.

In response to growing demand from agricultural practice, Flikweert Vision is now making this industrial foundation more broadly available. With the Divider Select, the company introduces a version that is technically based on the Divider Pro, but whose configuration and positioning are better aligned with use by growers. Purpose-driven, accessible and suitable for integration into inloading and outloading lines.

By building on a robust industrial foundation and deliberately tailoring functionality to on-farm practice, Divider Select helps growers inload and outload cleaner product. This results in greater control over the product flow, more consistent product quality and reduced risk during storage.
