Elea Technology Demonstrates PEF Benefits for Potato Chips to North African Delegation

Elea Technology GmbH recently hosted a potential customer delegation from North Africa, accompanied by Sofien Zahra from its business partner ScanStore A/S, to demonstrate the application of pulsed electric field (PEF) technology in potato chip processing.
The visit focused on the operational benefits of PEF technology for potato chips, including reduced processing costs, increased yield, improved colour control and enhanced final product quality.

During trials conducted in ELEA’s pilot halls, the visitors were guided by Kevin Hill, Application Support Manager at ELEA Technology GmbH, and were able to observe the effects of PEF technology on potato chips under practical conditions.
Facility tour and Pilot Trials
The programme also included a tour of ELEA’s large storage hall, where the company presented its spare parts inventory and belt systems currently available. In addition, the delegation visited the manufacturing hall to gain insight into how and where ELEA’s systems are produced.
The visit highlighted ELEA Technology GmbH’s ongoing work with international partners and customers to support snack producers in optimising potato processing through PEF technology.
