Michigan State University Announces 2026 Regenerative Agriculture Winter Webinar Series

Michigan State University Extension, in collaboration with the MSU Center for Regenerative Agriculture, has announced the launch of its 2026 Regenerative Agriculture Winter Webinar Series, a six-session virtual program aimed at advancing regenerative farming practices across Michigan. 

The free webinar series will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout February, from 6–7 p.m., and is open to farmers, landowners, conservation partners and agricultural professionals. The program is designed to share practical, science-based strategies that improve soil health, enhance water quality and strengthen the resilience of farm systems. 

Each session will feature expert-led discussions on key regenerative agriculture topics, including:

• Feb. 10- Grazing in Cropping Systems: integrating livestock to improve soil health and reduce input costs
• Feb. 12- Residue Risks and Rewards: examining how crop residue affects soil conditions and seed environments
• Feb. 17- Cover Crops in Perennials: increasing biodiversity in orchards and vineyards
• Feb. 19- Lake Associations and Farmer Partnerships: collaborative approaches to protecting water quality
• Feb. 24- Strategic Tillage & the Gray of “No-Till”: balancing soil disturbance with long-term soil health
• Feb. 26- Growing Native Plant Seeds: diversifying farm income while supporting ecosystem services

Registration for the webinar series is free and remains open until 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 25. Participants will have opportunities to interact with MSU specialists and gain actionable insights for applying regenerative principles within their own operations.
