Heat and Control to showcase Urschel slicing and dicing equipment at foodpro 2026

Heat and Control will showcase the latest Urschel cutting equipment during foodpro 2026, Australia's leading food manufacturing trade exhibition, taking place from July 26-29 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in Melbourne. At Booth R8, the company will present the new Little Gem Aspire Dicer and the MicroAdjustable SL-14 Slicing Head for food processors seeking to improve cutting precision, production efficiency and operational flexibility.
Foodpro brings together food producers, distributors, manufacturers and equipment suppliers from sectors including meat and poultry, seafood, dairy, fresh produce and packaged foods, providing a platform for industry collaboration and the latest food processing technologies.
Little Gem Aspire Dicer expands cutting flexibility
The Little Gem Aspire Dicer is designed for continuous production and can produce slices from 2 mm to 20 mm, dices up to 20 mm and strip cuts. Developed by Urschel Innovation & Development, the machine features the patented StatiCut assembly with specialty knives that allow quick changeovers between cut sizes.
Its compact footprint makes it suitable for processors with smaller production capacities or limited processing space. Named after the original Little Gem, the new dicer combines easy use with strong performance, expanding on its predecessor that helped establish Urschel as a global leader in cutting technology.
SL-14 Slicing Head increases processing capacity
The MicroAdjustable SL-14 Slicing Head features 14 cutting stations, providing nearly twice the capacity of Urschel's standard eight-shoe slicing head. It incorporates micro-adjustability and quick-clamping technology, allowing knife changes with little or no tools and without removing the slicing head from the machine.
The design incorporates carefully crafted spacing of cutting stations to maximize slice engagement. With its versatile slicing capabilities, processors can rely on the SL-14 to help optimize their processing line while lowering operational costs over time.
