McCain Foods India Appoints Aditya Krishna as Managing Director

McCain Foods India has announced the appointment of Aditya Krishna as Managing Director, McCain Foods India, effective August 1, 2026. Aditya succeeds Mainak Dhar, who, following a successful tenure leading the India business, transitions into an expanded leadership role. Concurrently, Avishek Kar has been elevated to Commercial Head, McCain Foods India, succeeding Aditya.

These strategic transitions underscore McCain India’s commitment to internal talent mobility and leadership development. The company’s people-first approach focuses on identifying high-potential talent, delivering targeted development and empowering employees to assume expanded business responsibilities.

The advancement of Aditya and Avishek highlights McCain’s focus on developing a robust internal talent pipeline. 
 

Building on partnerships with potato growers

In his new role, Aditya will spearhead McCain Foods India’s growth agenda, build on the company’s long-standing partnerships with growers and continue its pioneering work in developing French Fries potato varieties suited to Indian conditions.

He will also focus on strengthening McCain’s contribution to India’s food processing industry and deepening its responsibility towards the communities it works with.

Nearly two decades of sales and marketing experience

Aditya brings nearly two decades of experience in Sales & Marketing across India and South East Asia at Mondelez International. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, he served as Commercial Director at McCain India for over three years, where he was instrumental in accelerating retail business growth, elevating brand salience and driving consumer innovation.

During his time at McCain, his responsibilities have spanned customer and channel strategy, trade execution, brand building and innovation, supported by collaboration across functions.

Aditya holds an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur and a B.E. from the University of Mumbai.

Having held key positions within McCain’s India business, Avishek Kar brings deep institutional knowledge, market insight and commercial acumen to his expanded portfolio as Commercial Head.
