Dat het succes van Univeg en de recente overname van de Henegouwse aardappelverwerker Lutosa hem in de kijker brengt als een behendig zakenman, stoort hem. "Het verhaal van Univeg is er een van vallen en opstaan, net als bij elke onderneming", luidt het in een uitgebreid interview in De Tijd.
