Het aantal aardappeltelers dat zich tot nu toe heeft aangemeld voor het plan van de Stichting Poolfonds Aardappelen (SPA) stelt teleur. 'We hebben absoluut meer deelnemers nodig', stelt Louis Beemsterboer namens de initiatiefnemers van het poolfonds. Hij wil nog geen percentages noemen. Het plan gaat alleen door als driekwart van de ongeprijsde aardappelen wordt aangemeld. Beemsterboer roept alle twijfelaars op hun aanmeldformulier in te vullen en op te sturen. Dat kan nog tot en met 25 maart. Dit weekend overlegden VTA, LTO, NAV en de aardappelhandel om bij te weinig aanmeldingen in aangepaste vorm toch iets op te starten.
