De Franse aardappelhandel heeft dit seizoen tot eind maart 1.409.800 ton kunnen exporteren.
Dat is ruim 40.000 ton meer dan vorig seizoen en meer dan 100.000 ton meer dan in het seizoen 2008-2009. Vooral de uitvoer naar Oost-Europese landen neemt sterk toe terwijl ook Nederland meer Franse aardappelen afneemt.
Het aardappelschap CNIPT deelde al eerder mee dat de export in waarde uitgedrukt vrijwel is verdubbeld van 181,2 miljoen euro vorig jaar naar tot nu toe 354.6 miljoen euro dit seizoen.
