De totale Nederlandse export van consumptie- en industrieaardappelen zal dit seizoen ruim boven de 1 miljoen ton uitkomen.
Totaal t/m mei bedraagt het totaalcijfer 980.000 ton, bijna 200.000 ton meer dan het totaalcijfer (784.500 ton) t/m mei 2010 over oogst 2009.
Het totaalcijfer over oogst 2008 t/m mei 2009 bedroeg 877.000 ton (totaal 782.200 ton over oogst '07 en totaal 755.500 ton over oogst '06). Het exportseizoen 2010/2011 zal dus als zeer goed de boeken in gaan.
Het is vooral de extreem goede exportafzet naar Rusland die de Nederlandse aardappelexport dit seizoen bovengemiddeld maakt.
