NSSPL Modified Atmosphere Cold storage is used mainly for the storage of fresh vegetables. In this type of storage, a modified atmosphere is created and maintained. This is done by maintaining a pre-determined temperature and high humidity throughout the room.
  • This type of storage technology is mainly used for root vegetables like Potatoes ,Onion, Garlic, Carrots, Beet Root and similar products.
  • In this type of storage Temperature, Humidity, Carbon-Dioxide and proper air flow within the produce is maintained with high accuracy and precision.

Although Modified Atmosphere Cold storage provides lesser control than a controlled atmosphere cold storage, the former also thrives on the modification of temperature and gaseous composition of the storage room.
