Just a day after Lamb Weston / Meijer announced the reorganization of its offices in the Netherlands, including the establishment of a new corporate headquarters in Breda, the company announces further expansion plans.

Expansion Ambient Potato Business (dehydrated potato products)

Lamb Weston / Meijer announced the investment in a new factory for its Ambient Potato Business, the production of dehydrated potato products.

The factory will be built on the existing Kruiningen site and will be capable of producing a range of dehydrated potato products for industrial customers.

The total investment amounts to approximately € 50 million and includes processing, mixing, packaging and warehousing facilities. The expansion fits within the sustainability ambitions of Lamb Weston / Meijer to increase overall potato usage.

The company expects to start construction in the course of 2019.

Expansion Frozen French Fry production

The company is also evaluating opportunities to expand french fry capacity at one of its existing processing facilities in Europe.

The company recently also announced an investment to build a technology center in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands.

Through these investments, Lamb Weston / Meijer will continue to support its customers with their growth plans.
