Neiker, the Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development, is a nonprofit state-owned company assigned to the Department of Environment, Regional Planning, Agriculture and fisheries of the Basque Government.

Neiker has been developing this work, since its birth in 1851, thanks to the efforts of a group of very highly qualified professionals who enjoy international recognition.

Spain: NEIKER transfers its potatoes, ‘Edurne’ and ‘Beltza’, to the cooperative UDAPA

The technology center and the cooperative UDAPA sign an agreement for the transfer of both potato varieties obtained by NEIKER. The alliance is based on the planting, production and commercialisation of these tubers by the cooperative from Alava, and will be in force until 2032.
