HyFun Foods Partners with Adani Logistics Ltd and EVERGREEN LINE to Launch India’s First Dedicated Reefer Rail Corridor for Frozen Food Exports

India’s cold chain and frozen export ecosystem is steadily moving toward smarter, faster, and more sustainable logistics models. In a major development for the country’s food export sector, HyFun Foods has partnered with Adani Logistics Ltd and EVERGREEN LINE to build a rail-based frozen export network aimed at strengthening multimodal cold chain infrastructure across India. 

As part of this initiative, Adani Logistics has flagged off its first dedicated reefer container train for HyFun Foods from ICD Virochannagar to Mundra Port. The dedicated rail service marks a significant milestone in developing a next-generation cold chain corridor for temperature-sensitive cargo.

Dedicated Reefer Rail Network for Frozen Exports

Designed specifically for frozen and temperature-controlled cargo, the reefer container train enables seamless and efficient transportation of frozen food products from inland India to international markets through integrated rail and port connectivity. 

The collaboration aims to improve the movement of frozen exports by reducing dependency on road transportation while enhancing logistics efficiency, cargo reliability, and supply chain sustainability. The initiative also supports faster multimodal connectivity between manufacturing hubs and export gateways.

Industry stakeholders believe the project reflects the growing importance of rail logistics as a key enabler for large-scale, cost-efficient, and environmentally sustainable freight movement in India’s expanding frozen food export market.
