KFC Holdings (M) Bhd (KFCH) is expanding its chain of restaurants by another 12 to 15 outlets this year and diversifying its product offerings in a bid to grow sales under more challenging operating conditions.

    Managing director Jamaludin Md Ali said the company had targeted 20 outlets and about four major product launches for the year.

    “Last year we opened 37 outlets largely because of the expansion of the hypermarkets. The number of new outlets would depend on the viability of the location,” Jamaludin told reporters after the launch of KFC Toasted Twister yesterday.
