Wendy's 1Q same-store sales decline

Hamburger chain Wendy's International (NYSE:WEN) Inc. said Thursday its first-quarter same-store sales declined, partly hurt by a shift in the Easter holiday.

Same-store sales at U.S. company restaurants slipped 1.6 percent compared with a 3.8 percent rise in the prior-year period. Same-store sales at U.S. franchise restaurants edged down 0.1 percent for the quarter ended March 30 compared with a 3.7 percent increase last year.
