Real Crisps, a popular hand cooked crisps and chips brand in the United Kingdom, is embarking on an innovative campaign in a bid to unveil who UK consumers think will be the REAL leader of the country

Kick-starting the campaign, REAL will be launching a nationwide sampling programme at shopping centres and major train stations and encouraging consumers to vote with some fun and exciting new giveaway packs. In keeping with the company’s re-brand in 2009 with the faces on pack depicting the contents inside, specially designed ‘Politi-pack’s displaying the faces of the three main political leaders;Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg, will be available to the public from sampling bins encouraging passers-by to pick their leader. The three politi-crisp flavours sampled will all be the same sea salt flavour but REAL are wondering which leader will be the flavour of the day!

Results of the sampling campaign will be uploaded to their specially designed website;www.realcrisps.com/election, where the ‘REAL Crisp-o-meter’ ® will be recording which leader is winning the race. The website will update as and when votes are placed, on a second by second basis in REAL time. The website will also include a regional map, specifically coloured in party colours to show who is in the lead by region, as well as by total GB. It will also contain news feeds and interesting REAL facts.
