AVEBE produces 20% less potato starch this campaign
March 06, 2011
Potato Starch manufacturer AVEBE’s production campaign of 2010-2011 is almost finished.

The expected overall production of potato starch is about 20% less than last year.

The quality of the delivered potatoes is good. And quality further improved as soon as potatoes were supplied directly from storage sheds. Even the number of premium-quality batches have increased.

The underwater weight (starch content) has risen above 470 grams, but remains lower than in the previous campaign.

The tare rate of potatoes from storage sheds is currently considerably lower than 6%, although the potato harvest 2010 campaign average is 7.5%.
