In heel Nederland worden aardappelen geteisterd door phytophthora. De infectiedruk is erg hoog, maar telers hebben moeite een strak spuitschema te hanteren door het aanhoudende slechte weer.
In de Veenkoloniën is de aantasting in een perceel aardappelen soms al vanuit de auto te zien, zegt teeltdeskundige Roelof Naber van adviesbureau DLV Plant.
In Flevoland vindt adviseur Philip Kroes meer aardappelpercelen met dan zonder besmetting.
Ook in het Zuidwesten komen extreme gevallen voor van phytophthora. Op Voorne-Putten gaan hele percelen dood door de ziekte.
Huub Schepers van onderzoeksinstituut PPO-WUR constateert dat phytophthora zich dit jaar erg agressief heeft ontwikkeld. Maar het probleem is minder groot dan vorig jaar, stelt hij.
