Potato Technology Expo Charlottetown releases Conference Program
January 20, 2014
The International Potato Technology Expo (IPTE) returns to the Eastlink Centre (formerly known as the Charlottetown Civic Centre) on February 21-22, 2014. This popular event has been running biennial in Charlottetown since 1992.

Over the years, this has become a must-attend industry event for potato farmers from across the Island, while attracting visitors from as far away as the United States.

“We are excited to present a jam packed educational conference program to compliment the trade show this year. The quality, content and relevancy of this year’s conference sessions is second to none and the International Potato Technology Expo is shaping up to be stronger and larger than 2012,” says Show Manager, Matt Mitchell. Sessions will take place at the Red Shores Racetrack & Casino.

The educational component features Dr. Rick Knowles, Washington State University, speaking on "Managing physiological age and productive potential of seed potatoes"; Faith Matchett, Farm Credit Canada presenting on "What does 2014 Hold in Store for the Agriculture Industry"; and the “2014 Potato Crop Stewardship” presentation with Greg Donald, PEI Potato Board, Josh Dillman, PEI Department of Agriculture & Forestry, and Pierre Petelle, Crop Life Canada.
