Emsland Stärke's Wietzendorf starch factory produces high quality potato starch and potato protein.

Emsland-Stärke GmbH - Emlichheim

At Emsland Staerke's main production facility in Emlichheim, up to 918,000 tonnes of potatoes are processed annually for the production of starch products.

Emsland-Stärke GmbH - Golßen

Emsland-Stärke GmbH - Golßen plant, where potato starch, dextrin, special glues and cooking oil were produced until 1945, was built by the brothers Paul and Artur Lösche.

Emsland-Stärke GmbH - Kyritz

Stärkefabrik Kyritz was built in 1873 by the businessman Carl Conrad and originally utilized only for the production of potato starch.

Products Offered

Emsland Group Clean Label Starches and Flakes – Empure® Emsland Group offers clean label cook-up and pre-gelatinized starches plus potato flakes to replace modified starches (e-numbers). Its Empure® range provides thickening, gelling, expansion, stability and processing tolerance for additive-free foods.

Emsland Group Potato Flakes – Emflake® Emsland Group offers Emflake® potato flakes made from selected potatoes, washed, peeled, ground, heat-treated and drum dried. Functional at low temps, they suit snacks, bakery, soups, sauces and gluten-free recipes, with varied size, sugar, color and clean label options.

Emsland Group Waxy Potato Starch – Emwaxy® Emsland Group produces Emwaxy® waxy potato starch from non-GMO, high-amylopectin potatoes. It delivers high viscosity, clean taste, bake stability, fast hydration, strong water binding, creamy mouthfeel and light texture for many food uses.
