The Sormac CBS/MBS Peeling Machine is a compact, versatile solution for peeling and scraping root vegetables such as potatoes, celeriac, red beets and baby carrots. Available as either a carborundum peeler (CBS) or knife peeler (MBS), the machine provides flexibility to achieve either an evenly abraded finish or a smooth, hand-peeled appearance.
Designed for efficient food-processing operations, the machine has a compact footprint and elevated construction for quick and hygienic cleaning. Its user-friendly touchscreen provides intuitive operation, while the interchangeable drum and peeling disc allow operators to switch between peeling methods in as little as two minutes.
The CBS model uses interchangeable carborundum drums and peeling discs available in different grit sizes, allowing the peeling process to be matched to specific products. The MBS knife version delivers a smooth peeling result while maintaining consistent processing performance.
With a capacity of up to 350 kg/h and a batch size of up to 25 kg, the CBS/MBS can handle products ranging from 10 to 180 mm in diameter, depending on the model. Interchangeable product guides help position different root vegetables correctly inside the drum for consistent results.
The machine can operate with water when required and features a magnetic safety system that prevents the lid from being opened during operation. Once the peeling cycle is completed, the lid opens automatically for safe and convenient unloading.
