Heat and Control will return to Interpack 2026 with a strong focus on helping food manufacturers improve process efficiency, reduce energy and water consumption, and maintain consistent throughput and product quality.

As rising utility costs and sustainability targets put increasing pressure on production operations, the company will showcase a portfolio of smart processing and packaging technologies designed to optimise performance across food processing, conveying, seasoning, weighing, packaging and inspection.

The solutions support a wide range of applications including French fries, potato co-products, snacks and prepared foods, with an emphasis on reducing waste while improving line reliability and output.

New seasoning technology for higher accuracy

Heat and Control will introduce the FastBack Symphony On-Machine Seasoning System (OMS), developed to simplify seasoning and improve application accuracy in high-speed environments.

Blake Svejkovsky, General Manager Product Handling Systems at Heat and Control:

"Seasoning is one of the most critical and challenging stages in snack production. With Symphony OMS, we addressed issues such as airborne seasoning, inconsistent coverage and sanitation demands. This is the most accurate on-machine seasoning system we have ever developed, engineered to perform at higher line speeds and application rates."

Water efficiency and sustainability

The company will also highlight its Cascade Water Recirculation Systems, designed to help processors reduce freshwater consumption while maintaining sanitation and process performance.

Rick Bajema, Director Processing Innovations at Heat and Control:

"Food manufacturers face growing pressure to operate with less energy, less water and less waste. Our Cascade Water Recirculation Systems provide practical tools to conserve, treat and reuse water more effectively, significantly reducing usage without compromising food safety or equipment performance."

Originally developed for potato chip processing, these systems are now widely used in French fry and other raw material applications. The Slice Wash Support Module removes up to 90 percent of starch from washer water, while the Pre-Rinse Support Module captures larger particles to reduce overall water turnover.

Thermal drying solutions expand capacity

Heat and Control will also feature two thermal processing systems from Tek-Dry, including a French Fry Dryer and a Snack Dryer. Both utilise a compact single-pass design to deliver consistent drying, high evaporation rates and precise moisture control while minimising product damage and fines.

These systems support high-throughput production of fries, croutons, expanded snacks and bread-based products, with flexible heating options tailored to different processing needs.

Live demonstrations at Interpack 2026

Visitors to the Heat and Control booth will be able to explore interactive displays, view daily live demonstrations and discuss application-specific solutions with technical specialists. The company will exhibit in Hall 14, Stand 14A56, presenting practical technologies aimed at improving efficiency, sustainability and operational performance across modern food processing lines.
