Looking ahead to 2026, Scotts Precision Manufacturing is investing in the construction of a bespoke 600sqm logistics and assembly facility, due for completion in summer 2026. The project marks an important step in the continued development of the business and reflects a long-term commitment to sustainable, controlled growth.

The new purpose-built facility will provide dedicated parts reception and expanded stores, supporting a steadily growing product portfolio. While the company’s core business remains in pre-cleaning and de-soiling equipment, this expertise now extends beyond the potato sector into orchard fruit, peppers and other crops, opening opportunities in new markets and new countries. With final assembly taking place within the new building, the business will be better equipped to manage a broader and more diverse range of projects in a timely and efficient manner.

Alongside increased capacity, the new layout will significantly improve the flow of materials, components and finished machines across the site, enhancing yard access and overall efficiency. Improved stock management, more streamlined assembly processes and better organisation of space will support shorter lead times and allow the company to respond more effectively to growing demand while maintaining the high standards of quality and service customers expect.

Derek Scott, Managing Director of Scotts Precision Manufacturing:

"As a family business, we always invest with the long term in mind. This new facility will allow us to expand our capabilities, improve efficiency and support a wider range of customers. Lack of space has always been a thorn in our side. Despite our best efforts to be as efficient and tidy as possible, the 600sqm will be a game changer for our business, and allows us to grow unrestricted for many years to come."
