De vaste stemming in de aardappelmarkt is de laatste week m.n. bepaald door de kooplust van de Belgische aardappelverwerkers. Zo steeg de Belgapomnotering voor 35 mm opw. fritesgeschikt Bintje in korte tijd van € 7,50 naar € 10,00 per 100 kg excl. BTW. Het schokeffect als gevolg van de prijsstijging heeft voor het beoogde aanbod aardappelen gezorgd.
Momenteel lijken de Belgische fritesbakkers weer een wat afwachtende houding aan te nemen. De in Nederland gevestigde fritesindustrieën zorgen i.t.t. de Belgische collega’s niet voor veel reuring in de markt.
